Swimming and Fly Fishing

All the kids went swimming in the Madison river at the Filehole Canyon. David, Neil, Scott, and Bailey went fly fishing. Neil caught 9, Dave caught 3 or 4, Scott caught 2, and Bailey caught 1. It was a very fun day......

Yellowstone

Even though we weren't home for David and DJs first football game, we still were rooting for our Brighton Bengals.... Way to go today BENGALS!!!!

So every year we go to breakfast at Smitty's. DJ had his first "German Sheperard Pancake" LOL..... Then we go feed the ducks at the park. Even though this year there was a sign that says it could be dangerous.

I am going to Yellowstone. It is a family trip. So take a ride with me. So for we have been driving for hour 3. We stopped at a park to eat. It was fun. Now where heading to Idaho Falls. We are 2 miles away. We have 31 people coming. That is not my whole family. I have a lot more people in my family. I have a fun time.

Having lunch and playing at the park in Pocatello...

On our way to Idaho Falls we stop in Pocatello and go to the park. We have a picnic, play scratches and football. Spider buys tons of scratches and we all sit and scratch. We each choose a card and then as a group we scratch them off together. Spider sent around $200 and we won a little over $100, not great odds. Brayden was a big winner with $22. Then after lunch Spider and the twins so to the casino on the reservation while we head to Idaho Falls to go play in the pool.

We just entered IDAHO! This is our annual trip to Yellowstone with David's family. We have pretty large group coming this year. There is our family and Spider (5), Lori and Neil (4), Candance and Kat (2), Stacey, Candaces friend (2), Allison, my sister(6), Scotty (6), and Tricia (6). For a total of 31 of us, this isn't even one of our biggest groups.

Wendy (Dave's sister)and Anj couldn't join us this year and we are all really sad, but there is always next year guys. Anj just get feeling better ..... WE LOVE YOU!!!!

So far we aren't even to Malad and we have already seen 3 big fires .....

1st Day of School

So I woke DJ and Brayden up this morning …… by telling them it was time to get it’s your first day of school. Brayden opens his eyes slowly pulls his Superman blanket back over his body and then looks at me and says “So does that mean summers over????” After a few minutes of reminding them it was time to get up they were both up and dressed in the clothes they had lay out last night and we were off. DJ had leftovers from Denny’s – eggs, hash browns, breakfast sandwich while Brayden went with Cocco Puffs. I totally forgot until 9:30 last night that Brayden had been given an assignment at back to school night that he was suppose to bring back today, so we were working on getting that done this morning as well. He had to fill a bag with things about him:
Something he loves – Cooper
Something he hates – Can corn label
A souvenir from a vacation – polished rocks from Yellowstone
Something he made – painted rocks that were in the front yard
Something he wants – A picture of our old house (How sad!)

DJ is starting 4th grade and his teacher is Mrs. Anderson. This is her first year teaching and she seems really excited. DJ is a little worried because Hailey who has been in all his classes since they were in Kindergarten is in another class this year, he is sad. But they saw each other this morning and I told him they can eat lunch together and play at recess.

Brayden is starting 2nd grade and his teacher is Mrs. Sibbett. Brayden asked DJ all sorts of questions about who second grade eats lunch with and who would be at recess with him, what time they go to lunch. When he realized he would be going to lunch with 3rd grade he was happy. So I will be with Sissy (his cousin) YEA!!! He is also wearing his new shoes and he wants to see if they will make him run faster then Brennen.

Brayden loves to write songs about all sorts of things this was his first song that he wrote. He wrote it for Abby a little girl he has know forever. He went to school and while waiting in line for the bell to ring with all the 1st grade standing there with he decided to go up to Abby and sing her the song and also gave her a written copy of the works. Abby's response "You're the weirdest kid I know"
