Project Life

I am SUPER excited to start this project for 2011 called Project Life. I found out about Project Life last year and have been following it for a while now. Project Life is a way to simplify the way you document your life. As most of you know I am not a scrap booker but this is so easy you just can't not do it. As of right now I am totally up to date on my weeks these far, and I am so excited to see how our book turns out. Well I can't beleive it's been so long since I have blogged..... Over 5 months. Well I thought I would give you a quick update on what we been doing.....


This past June we took our first road trip as a family ..... something we've really never done beofre. Our longest trip in a car has been to Yellowstone which we do ever year.

The boys and McKinley were in PHX with Ashley and Jason and then we all meet in San Diego. It was such a nice trip to and a chance to spend time with my sister and her family.


We went to the beach, Sea World, and Las Vegas..... Such great memories..

Skiing and Snowboarding....

So I took the boys skiing today.... well Brayden and I ski and DJ snowboards. We also took Sissy who took a skiing lesson and DJs little girlfriend who boarded with DJ. Brayden thought it was so funny that DJ had to take a lesson and that he and I just got to go ski and hang out together. I love spending time with them and doing these special activities together.

NFC Wildcard Game

On a total whim David and I decided to fly to Phoenix and go to the NFC Wildcard game last weekend. The game was so exciting and they actually beat Green Bay.....

WAY TO GO CARDINALS!!!!!

It was so nice to get away if only for a few days and spend some time together. Also got to see my sissy and the babies.

New Year's ....

Every year the Abel's and Gilbert's meet at Olympus lanes at 5:00. We have been doing for as long as I can remember.... This year was no exception. We all meet and bowl two games and had tons of fun together...... and then on to our house for a night of games.

Christmas catch up..

This year for christmas all the boys wanted was an X-Box 360..... So we opened all the presents upstairs and there wasn't a 360, lucky for them there was no complaining just smiles. Well David and I had hidden our presents downstairs for the boys. So of course we came up with some lame excuse as to why they need to go downstairs ...... and boy weren't they EXCITED when they saw the skis, snowboard and of course and XBOX 360......

It was a wonderful Christmas with the family ...

Nance Family Christmas Night 2009

Last night we went to Thanksgiving Point to see the Holiday Lights with Grandma and Grandpa Abel.... The lights were beautiful and we had a nice evening..... Thanks mom and dad for sharing our first outing this year to see the lights, can't wait for Temple Square on Monday.

Setting up the tree

This year DJ decided to setup the Christmas tree by himself well he accepted a little help from his bro... It is such a blessing that they work so well together they had the tree set up in no time. If only daddy had been as quick to put the lights on.... it took about a week to get him to run the lights. I bet next year DJ figures that out as well. 

Turkey Bowl 2009

For the last three years we have all gotten together on Thanksgiving morning to play a little FOOTBALL. It has become our little tradition. This year was no exception and even though I had to work I went out and watched for a bit...... Can't wait to see you all next year!!
